    Kaspersky Lab Discovers Two Notorious Russian-Speaking Hacking Groups Sharing Infrastructure
    Kaspersky Lab experts have identified an overlap in cyberattacks carried out by two infamous threat actors — GreyEnergy, which is believed to be a successor of BlackEnergy, and the Sofacy cyberespionage group. The researchers found that both actors used the same servers simultaneously, but used them for different purposes.

    Kaspersky Lab has once again been named a 2018 Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice for Endpoint Protection Platforms, having received a high customer satisfaction rating of 4.7 out of 5 as of October 31, 2018. The Gartner Peer Insights Customer’s Choice recognizes vendors according to a score system that takes into account how many customer reviews a vendor’s product has, and the ratings they have received in these reviews.

    Kaspersky Lab starts data processing for European users in Zurich and also opens first Transparency Center
    From today, malicious and suspicious files shared by users of Kaspersky Lab products in Europe will start to be processed in data centers in Zurich, initiating the first part of a relocation commitment made by the company in late 2017 under its Global Transparency Initiative. The move reflects Kaspersky Lab’s determination to assure the integrity and trustworthiness of its products and is accompanied by the opening of the company’s first Transparency Center, also in Zurich.

    Kaspersky Lab Boosts Mobile Threat Defense with Renewed Kaspersky Security for Mobile
    Smartphones have long been just as important for businesses as PCs or laptops, with employees in every fifth enterprise accessing corporate intellectual property using their personal mobile devices and tablets. However, with this increasing workforce mobility comes a growing risk of cyberthreats: according to Kaspersky Lab, 42 million attack attempts on mobile devices were registered in 2017.     Kaspersky Safe Kids for Windows successfully passes AV-Comparatives certification criteria
    Kaspersky Safe Kids for Windows was included in the top three solutions for children's online security, successfully achieving certification from the Austrian independent organization AV-Comparatives. During testing, the Kaspersky Lab product was ranked best according to several criteria; in particular, the percentage of blocked unwanted content: adult, gambling and weapon sites.

    As part of its Global Transparency Initiative, Kaspersky Lab is adapting its infrastructure to move a number of core processes from Russia to Switzerland. This includes customer data storage and processing for most regions, as well as software assembly, including threat detection updates. To ensure full transparency and integrity, Kaspersky Lab is arranging for this activity to be supervised by an independent third party, also based in Switzerland.
